If Windows shows a SmartScreen alert, click More Info → Run Anyway. New launchers trigger this until they build reputation.
Open the launcher and sign in with your Minecraft account. It will install the mod pack and patch everything automatically.
Hit Launch Snowfall SMP inside the launcher. The server is pre-loaded — you go straight into the game. Read the rules at spawn.
